Athletic Trainer

Jim Narrigan is making his first appearance as an athletic trainer for the U.S. National Junior Team.

Previously, Narrigan served eight years as the head athletic trainer for the National Hockey League’s Boston Bruins. He was with the team for two Stanley Cup Finals and was selected as a trainer for the 1988 NHL All-Star Game.

Prior to the NHL, Narrigan served a three-year stint as an assistant athletic trainer for the Boston Breakers of the United States Football League. He also spent two seasons with the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles as an assistant trainer, including the 1980 campaign in which the Eagles advanced to Super Bowl XV.

Narrigan also spent time at Ursinus (Pa.) College and Crozer Keystone Health System as an athletic trainer.

Currently involved in two family-owned businesses, Narrigan resides in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Kathy. He has three sons: Michael, Cam and Sean.

Bio

Daniel Naurato enters his first season with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program in 2013-14.

Naurato most recently spent time as a volunteer assistant coach with the University of Connecticut men's ice hockey team (2012-13),  developing scouting reports for NCAA competition, coordinating team travel and assisting with game strategies and video breakdown.

Prior to the 2012-13 season, Naurato was a four-year letter winner as a member of the UConn Huskies men's ice hockey team from 2008-12. During his time in college, Naurato also served as an instructor at various hockey schools, developing on- and off-ice drills for students.

Before joining the Huskies, Naurato skated one season with the South Shore Kings (Mass.) of the Eastern Junior Hockey League in 2007-08. There, he finished second overall in points with 61 (20-41), while leading the EJHL in assists.

A native of Livonia, Mich., and 2012 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Naurato completed his collegiate career with a bachelor's degree in sociology.

Adam Nightingale, currently serving as a head coach at USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, is making his IIHF head coaching debut with the U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team in 2022.

He has supported five U.S. teams on the international stage, most recently as an assistant for the 2021 U.S. World Championship team. Prior, he served as video coach for three U.S. Men’s National Teams (2017, 2018-bronze, 2019) and one U.S. National Junior Team (2015).

Prior to joining the NTDP, Nightingale was part of the coaching staff for both the Detroit Red Wings and Buffalo Sabres and he has also previously served as head hockey coach at Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Minnesota. 

Nightingale joined Shattuck after spending four seasons (2010-14) as director of hockey operations for his alma mater, Michigan State University.

A native of Cheboygan, Mich., Nightingale played hockey collegiately at Lake Superior State University (2000-02) and Michigan State University (2003-05), totaling 37 points (18-19—37) in 118 games with the Lakers and Spartans. Nightingale spent parts of four seasons playing professionally in the ECHL, recording 27 points (10-17—27) in 78 games for the Gwinnett Gladiators, Greenville Grrrowl and Charlotte Checkers from 2004-08.

Kris Nolt recently completed his second season with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program as the communications manager and and will serve as the Team USA media contact at the 2018 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship.

Nolt previously served as the communications manager for the 2017 U.S. Men’s National Under-18 Team that captured a gold medal at the 2017 IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship.

At the NTDP and USA Hockey Arena, his responsibilities includes overseeing all communications efforts, including media relations as well as serving as the primary media contact for both the U.S. National Under-17 and Under-18 Teams.

Prior to joining the NTDP, Nolt served two years as the  public relations and marketing manager at Lancaster (Pa.) Catholic High School where he was responsible for developing marketing and communication strategies for prospective and current students and parents, donors and alumni.

He also was a communications and marketing consultant, providing freelance services in the areas of website design, graphic design and social media campaign management.

Prior to his arrival at Lancaster Catholic, Nolt served as a sports information assistant at Union College, where he was a secondary media contact for the 2014 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey national championship team and managed all social media activities. In addition, he served as the primary media contact for 12 NCAA Division III teams at Union. Nolt also spent a year as a media relations intern with the Robert Morris University athletic media relations department.

A 2013 graduate of Slippery Rock (Pa.) University, Nolt earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management.

Head Coach

Noreen is serving as the head coach of the U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team for the first time.

Previously, Noreen has served as the head coach of the U.S. Junior Select Team at the World Junior A Challenge in both 2019 and 2018, leading the team to a first and third-place finish, respectively. His first appearance behind the bench with the team was as an assistant coach in 2017, where he helped the team to a second-place finish.

Noreen recently wrapped up his fifth season as the head coach of the Tri-City Storm of the USHL, coaching his team to a first-place finish in the Western Conference and up to this year’s semi-finals. The Storm has advanced to post-season play in four of five of Noreen’s years as head coach, apart from the 2019-20 season when the playoffs were cancelled. Additionally, the Chicago native spent two seasons as the general manager (2017-19) of the Storm and three as president of hockey operations (2019-22).

Noreen also serves as the president of hockey operations for the Windy City Storm 16U of the HPHL.

Prior to joining the Storm, Noreen was the head coach of the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears (2015-17), the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL (head coach and general manager 2011-15, assistant coach 2010-11) and was an assistant coach for his alma-mater, the University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point (2007-10).
